According to this Zune site, MS won't be giving away free music. They might try to convert ACC to WMA but I doubt that'd be legal for their own software (but I am sure 3rd party software already does this). I don't see everyone dumping their iPod for something they'd have to re-buy all their music for.

No HDMI, and it will cost 2K...but oh boy will it look great on a wall!
It will support HDMI, BUT it will require the DisplayPort -> HDMI Adaptor (Not Included).

May 21, 2011. I'm sad since I'm only going to be able to enjoy my refreshed iMac for just a couple of weeks.:(
Those with the new white iPhone will get priority admission into heaven though!
Pearly white iPhone=admission into the pearly gates.

I love my MM, makes me miss the scroll ball when I use anything else.
If buttons or wheel aren't working right for you, why don't you just take it back and get a replacement under warranty?

Anyone find it odd that the only 3.1Ghz Quad-Core i5 listed on intel's website is a Embedded Intel Core™ i5-2400 Processor (6M Cache, 3.10 GHz) Unless they released the 27" with a brand new i5?

The cheapest iMac is $1300 and doesnt have the same "desirability" that a tower has to people looking for the best bang for their buck (even though they are technically the same).
What "desirability" does a tower plus monitor combination have over an iMac exactly? I have no interest in interior design, yet even I can see the benefit of sleek tidy iMac against cable mess ugly boxes taking up too much space.
Tower plus monitor desirable? No thanks.

LOL. love all these posts.
Can I start a post thats about how Im anxiously awaiting the END of all these "when is the new iMac coming out" threads?
I really really want to get onto the next set of never ending threads that will go something like this:
"should I get the 21" X.XX Ghz i5 or the 27" X.XX Ghz i3?"
And then everyone will get to ask "what are you going to do with it?"
and then all of the "I love the large 27" screen" and of course "I had to return the 27" screen it was too big!" And the "more cores is better" or the silly goofball with the "I think a larger Ghz number means its faster".
and then we can move on to all of the "Is 4 gigs of ram enough or should I get more?" threads
Oh, and lets not forget all of the "I wish it had a larger drive/better video/more SSD options/matte screen/full sized bluetooth keyboard/USB 3/eSATA/24" option!!" posts. Those are my favorite. Wishing, LOL. You get what you get and you dont throw a fit?
please lets move on...I know exactly how you feel.

Ah, that clears things up a bit.
But as stated, I'd like to see the power draw for the C2D+320M. Certainly then, in taking out the other power-suckers in the machine, that C2D+320M combo would draw more power than the LV i5 processor alone, would it not?
Its a difference of 5-10W. Dont remember exactly. might be a little less since its not a full clocked C2D.

I missed seeing it in theaters. That's a great deal for the price.

It's really disconcerting that so many of the UI changes that Apple has made over the past few OS X iterations have seemed rather arbitrary. Cosmetic improvements are fine (though I think that this look for iCal would be a major step backward), but they should be concentrating on functionality, speed, reliability, and security. If I'm going to give up Rosetta for OS 10.7, I'd like to get a lot more than eye candy.

Not sure I understand, I've had 4G on my Evo for over a year now...
Hrm....
wimax is not 4G. it even shows up with the wifi icon when it's connected. LTE is a real ITU standard that will eventually pave the way for real 4G

So the iPhone went from being pummeled by Android to now just being badly beaten.
That is Awesome.
Ha, ha . . . As if I should be embarrassed about losing a bar fight against 20 people.
Name any single Android phone model that has out-sold the iPhone 4.

Not the polished app for final release I assume??
Are there any pictures of the week view? I think if its another full-screen app, it would look really cool blown up. Makes me want to get an iPad even more now...

The answer here seems so obvious, how did Apple miss it?
Bring over some of the nice eye candy features from the iPad, like animated calendar pages, but leave the clean professional look alone. I hate using Outlook for calendars and now iCal looks ridiculous and wastes more space than anyone could imagine...what's a man to do?

Absolutely!!
Have any microsoft products ever been seen as 'cool'?! lol
Apple has done something VERY important with the iPod. They made it cool, especially among teens thru college-aged kids. Whenever I'm in an Apple store, it's very obvious just how strongly Apple is going after this demographic and I think it's paying off.

You can say you made the 8% prediction, but why don't you back it up with some proof? I can say that I predicted Apple would release software to dual boot an Intel Mac but without proof who would believe me?
Ok photo-video here's the prediction that I made back on April 7, 2006:
"My prediction is that Apple will have at least 8% market share by the end of the Leopard Mac OS X 10.5 lifecycle."
Which can be found at:

Here's a radical suggestion, very unlikely to be implemented, but maybe interesting.
The iPod has a screen on the front which displays the controls, but the touch/presence/motion sensitive sensor is on the back. Since the controls are on the back, your view of the screen isn't obscured by your finger tapping on it.
But how do you see exactly where your fingers are? Simple - the "None Touch" sensor detects where your fingers are, and superimposes a representation of their position on the screen - it's almost like a transparent iPod, where your fingers behind the iPod are shown on the screen in front.
Benefits
- your fingers aren't obscuring your view of the screen
- you're not smudging or scratching the screen by tapping on it.
Disadvantages
