In the mean time, might get the white one for my girl, she's still on my old 3G and it hurts me to see her still using that thing.

I am badly in need for a new iDevice. My last device was the iPod Touch 1st Generation. I am planning to get both the iPhone and iPad, but will only get one now and wait for the other one in the next update.
So which is better now?
Get iPhone 4 White, and wait for iPad 3�
or
Get iPad 2, and wait for iPhone 5?
I am leaning towards the first option because the iPhone 4 feels like a revolution while the iPad 2 feels like a small upgrade and I wish it has a retina screen. But on the other hand, the iPhone 4 feels old now and iPad 2 just released.

I see where you are getting at but who would want to use an ipod for video conferencing when the business user which it is aimed at rather use a phone like the Razr V3x, a pda or that new 4.5in Sony tablet pc.

The iPad has already blown away the "Apple makes overpriced stuff myth" out of the water. If you are still clinging on to this, let it go and find another useful argument.
Most of the products in Apple's line up are competitively priced or more affordable than its competitors...and don't compare iMac's to desktop boxes it's an all-in-one a different form factor.
Apple makes insane profits because their products sell...in extraordinary numbers not because they are overpriced. Fact is if Apple only makes income because of the premium, people will not continue to buy them if they don't work well.
If you want to dispute what I said, try making your own product, design a pretty logo for it and sell it at a premium. See how that works out for you.

That said maybe they are looking to see what Google does with their Gigabyte fiber deployment. If we started to see real speeds something like a 4k apple tv could become a reality. Give me that and retianal display and drop all the 3d gimmick, I just don't really care for it.

Honestly I think they just showed up. There has been significantly less people in line today than yesterday.
They say they have no ATT models, and 'limited' wifi options in white or black.
I would guess if anyone shows up now it's a gamble but you never know.

What do you don't seem to understand is that every individual person does not care what most people need/want. I want to be able to buy the phone I need. If you go with what "most people" need it would be a dumb phone then (with great battery life BTW)
Then leave these forums. Clearly apple-related news is not for you. Clearly you want a phone that apple does not provide. Why are you even here? The truth is, nobody is stopping you from buying that android with 4 hours of battery life if it is more suited to your tastes. You are not entitled in any way to force Apple to make a device that suits your needs. Go buy the Thunderbolt. Enjoy it.

Here in Phoenix I have not had too many issues. i get full strength signal most of the time and almost always 3g. however there are a few places i have that and still cannot get data, luckily its not often, and usually its in the evening which is probably heavy usage times.

So am I the only one left with the original iPhone? Had it since Sep 2006. Was going to wait for the 5, but I'll just get a white 4 in a few weeks. I'm happy.
Nope, I'm also on the original and had it since the first day of release. However I'm on my 3rd original as one was stolen and the other the battery wouldn't last longer than 30 mins of use. Just glad I had family and friends willing to give me their old ones. At least I also still have the original cheap data plan too but that goes with the pain of a slow phone.
I had planned to buy the White iPhone 4 last year when released. Then I waited and waited like a lot of people with limited news. However no way, will I buy in now to the iPhone 4. After the pain of waiting this long, I'm gonna continue to struggle until iPhone 5 whenever that is. However just my luck we might have to deal with a delayed release schedule the year I'm finally ready to buy in no matter what.

It would be nice, if the user could change the windows (UI) color in MacOS X like this can already be done in Windows / Linux.
So, that you could change the grey look to something else. They could integrate the color chooser, like you have, when you work with fonts etc.
After all, Mac is sold to consumers, so why not give them the choise of colors, at least in their programs, if their computers are cold/neutrla grey/silver/white colored?

Dont count Parallels out. They will eventually have multicore support in their app, and i am sure will keep getting better over time.
Oh, not counting them out at all. That would most certainly be a mistake. No, but VMware certainly brings a lot of history and man power to the table. They are THE elephant in the room when it comes to virtualization (they essentially pioneered the market that exists today).
I think they bring with them a long history of good, solid, stable roducts that the enterprise trusts.

When you think about it, the PSP could (perhaps should) have been the coolest thing since sliced bread with all its features and even movies and Sony's music service tailor-made for it. So what happened? Sony's atrocious proprietary scheme has made it a shell of what it could have been. I have a feeling MS hasn't learned any lessons since the "Works for Sure" campaign became something of a running joke.
Nintendo could have done the same thing with the DS Lite. There are addons for web, music, and video for this device and the battery life would still be on par with iPods...They, probably wisely, decided to keep the price of their device down and provide these features as accessories. Not everyone needs their portable device to do everything but the iPod, PSP, and DS Lite all have the potential for being brilliant convergence devices. Microsoft's talents in this area are still untested. The cellular companies would like their phones to be ultimate convergence devices but the are too greedy (at least in America) for their own good and most of the devices come off as buggy and overpriced...It is interesting, however, that Microsoft is willing to put their Xbox brand (which is pretty well accepted) in the untested market...

Sorry to burst everyone's bubble... but I don't believe this is a US phone. My iPhone 3gs has been on t-mobile for almost 2 years now... ...because that's the standard carrier in the Netherlands...
The +1 before the phone number definitely lends to the probability that it's intended for foreign use.
I can send a screenshot of both my and my gf's phones that clearly say: T-Mobile 3G on them... :D
And the N94 part number denoting an entirely separate model?
